Cinnamon Stars

Hello little cinnamon stars.

I got the idea for cinnamon star cookies when I went to Strasbourg a couple of weeks ago. They were selling them from little wooden huts at the Christmas markets. They're full of almonds and cinnamon and naturally gluten-free which is important for some. I used this recipe here and they came out really well. It takes a bit of work which is why its nice to have the family available.

I made these with my cousin, Chloe, whilst listening to Frank Sinatra singing Christmas carols. I tend to overplay Christmas music around this time to general despair so I allowed her to put my iPod on shuffle and we iced them listening to electro. Peace and Goodwill to all men.

I've always wanted to be someone who makes Christmas cookies. The only way to do that is to make Christmas cookies. So many lessons to learn in life.

My brother ate eight in a row so I know they must be good. Plus they just really feel like Christmas.

I hope you're all having fun with preparations!
